A customer will contact us with what they would like to add to their headstone. Once we have the information needed, we visit the stone to take measurements, match the font, size, and spacing. Every number and letter is matched to what already exists on the stone. After we identify the font type, we use a CAD program, which cuts the new text out on a rubber stencil. This rubber stencil is then measured and applied to the stone to make sure the layout remains symmetrical. After the stencil is applied to the stone, we then pull the text or designs away from the rubber stencil. This process is called "weeding" and exposes the stone behind the stencil. Our fine grit sand will cut into the stone, until the depth is matched to the already existing engravings. The engraving is carefully inspected before the stencil is removed, then it is thoroughly cleaned of any residue left behind.
NO. All of our work is done on site. All of our equipment is portable so that your stone and your sentimental belongings can remain without being disturbed. By offering mobile services, this separates us from the competition and decreases the amount of time you will wait for the job to be finished.
